The American Left was defended less than the rest, so the Germans went here looking to score exit VP's and maybe take locations 3 and 4. Just have to eliminate Lt. Blankenships squad first. Germans wanted to move quick so's to prevent the Americans from repositioning. The Germans had the early move cards to move quick... and the Americans had the wire cards to slam such movement.

So very tense Combat Commander situation, who gonna kill who, the German '2' leader Lt. Karsties leading 4 squads and hung up on the wire, or Lt. Blankenships and his mortar toting squad. It was close. Karsties survived to get off the wire and with the flamethrower and large firegroup ended Blankenships stand. The was open and taken.
