Part One: Germans got off to a self inflicted poor first turn but were bailed out by Luck that turn. Both Germans then flew aggressively to mix it up. The Yaks flying east the German Ldr flew straight to engage while Graf reversed to try and join in. And in the first mix up it was the Yaks getting most of the shots off and the position on the Germans. Part Two: Soon both Yaks had the rear of the German A/C in their sights. Graf was able to break off and was not pursued. Leader was who now and to Yaks on his tail. The leader was able to break off with rounds striking and flying about his A/C. Part Three: Graf circled back and went after the Yaks alone. Didn't even get a shot off. Leader then circles back to help. And a repeat of Part two develops with the Germans, who came back twice to deliever a blow are again the ones taking the blows. Part Four: The second German breakoff with bullets whizzing (including a dr=01). Also successful an in nor part aided by the mystical Turn 20. Basic Observations: When the Germans 'got away' they always turned back in to try again. The Yaks were well flown and they always found the 109's tails. The Yak is the better Dogfighter here at any speed below or at the Yaks max speed. Thirty aught machine guns with open sights makes for poor punching power to go with the Yaks excellent maneuverability. |

Gun Jams: If the percentile roll used to determine shot LH is ≥ 85 for a long burst, or ≥ 98 for other burst lengths or defensive fire, one of the involved weapon groups jams. |
Rechargeable Guns: All defensive guns are rechargeable. Rechargeable fixed guns are indicated by an underlined Type Weapon listing in an ADC's firepower chart. A pilot or gunner is limited to recharging one fixed or defensive weapon group per turn. A roll of ≤ 7 on a D10 at the end of any turn in which the A/C used ≤ HT turn rates, avoided NG, snap-rolls and vertical or inverted flight successfully recharges a group. Only one attempt to recharge a weapon group is allowed. If the attempt fails, the group is jammed until the A/C lands to be rearmed. |
