EoT: Next Turn I16's went for a Breakoff and 109's did not pursue. |
That went a lot differently! From our first game I learned that the 109s best bet is to keep engagements head on, where their superior gun sights give them an advantage. If the 16s play into repeated head on passes with the 109s their inferior guns and physical structure will have them falling out of the sky before the 109s reach severe damage or even take any critical hits, you of course saw right through that and disengaged after the first pass. I got very lucky on that pass but even if we both rolled 50s every time the 109s will come out on top in the head-on attack game with their higher crit rate and ability to absorb more damage. What do you think? |

I learned that the 109s best bet is to keep engagements head on Agree. It is to the 109's advantage. But the advantage can be lessened. Early on both I16's accepted the early Head On because: a) What are we gonna do, not fight? (... though we did turn tail later) b) The two I16's Head Ons with yes the poor gunsights were at least going against a German Green Pilot, so that evens it some, and.. c) Each I16 had two chances for a collision, which is good for Ivan; full use of the rules and all. |
