The german leader and its number 4 converge of the far right formation of the german bombers. Oblt Weber shoots at the already crippled Il-4#9 and as the bomber fells apart from the concentrated fire of the Focke-Wulf, a 20mm round hits and penetrates the fuel tanks before exploding and suddenly the bomber is engulfed in a huge fireball sending debris that damages two nearby bombers. Fw190#4 continues concentrated in flying and firing at the bombers and forgets to clear its jammed gun (aham!) and although the defensive fire of the bombers is not too terribly effective, a 12,7mm round hits the front armored windscreen of the fighter disabling its fixed gunsight! Even so, keeping his head cool, the german pilot manages to send a stream of bullets into the russian bomber. |
