Thanks for the game and well played. I'm not sure how you got so far ahead. I think the cards fell kinder for you than for me. I was not able to get to TW until the turn after you, because I did not draw the Italy card until the end of the LW cards. Also, drawing Ge17 and 18 on the first turn of TW did you a power of good. My die rolling at the end was appalling.

Nonetheless, well played. you deserved your victory. I'd not seen the southern Russia steamroller before, but it's very effective.

I don't think you mean't that since I see where you noted 21VP to 20VP.

So it looks like you have, at the end of the last CP card, VP at 21, while I count VP at 22.
Also, note that the siege of Antwerp is done in phase 'D', while the AV is determined in phase 'E.2'. So even if actual count is now 19, CP has a good chance to still get 20VP in time.

You can redo (put back in hand) your last card play, or if not, go ahead and roll the Antwerp siege. We'll count CP then, I may have been off one, dunno.

6/6/2002 10:17:00 PM Spring 1916 Allies Message Hank, I have my (1st Ed.) rules with me. The last sentence of 13.1.8 says that "A British Corps using SR between the RB and any space in the Near East is considered to be making a sea move [see 13.1.7]

13.1.7 says "Corps may also SR by sea from one friendly-controlled port space to another friendly-controlled port space. They may not Sr any further during that Action Round."

Since 13.1.8 refers Sea Movement when talking about BR SR from RB to NE Map [how many more acronyms can I fit into this sentence, I wonder?], I take this to mean that I can SR from RB to a vacant friendly port. It would seem strange if I could do so if I had a Corps in e.g Calais, but not from RB; after all, in practical terms, the Corps is coming from a port in the UK. I accept that if I already had a Corps in Verona, it could NOT go direct to Port Said, since Verona is not a port. however, I think the rule is different for a corps starting in RB.

I'll post this on Consim for a ruling.

So the RU9 vaporized, yet you moved him last turn. May have been this move was crucial or not, who knows, either way its a redo. If it had been crucial you may find that you needed another OPS to cover it, so you may have had to play a 4OPS instead of a 3OPS, if so, do. Or, maybe keep the other two OPS and do something else with the 3rd OPS, as you did this time.

Either way, in my opinion, all redos should be handled the same way 'cuase who to say if the 'lost move' was crucial or not. On a redo all moves and drs are null and void. Since you kept the same moves except action 3, BLD needs to roll for a trench (the previous roll, good or bad, is voided). I'll roll to keep the game moving...
